What's new
AI Chat Assistant (AI Chat Panel)
A new AI chat button is now available in the application header. Clicking it opens a slide-in chat panel where you can start conversations, send messages, and receive AI-generated responses in the context of your current work. Key capabilities include:
- Create and manage multiple conversations, each with a full message history.
- Automatic scrolling to the latest message and paginated loading of older messages.
- Copy individual responses to the clipboard with a single click.
- "Bad output" feedback button to flag unsatisfactory answers.
- "Thinking" animation while the AI is generating a response.
- Conversations can be deleted; the panel closes automatically if access is revoked.
AI Credentials Settings
A new IT Settings → AI → Credentials section allows administrators to configure the AI provider credentials used by the chat assistant and other AI features. Supported providers (including AWS Bedrock with dynamic inference-profile loading) can be set up and tested directly in the UI.
Side Action Bar — Bulk Operations [NG-5246]
List views throughout the application now feature a side action bar that appears when one or more records are selected. It provides:
- Bulk edit — update a field value across all selected records at once, with a field picker and date/value input combos.
- Bulk delete — remove multiple records in a single action, including shared elements.
- Export — export selected records.
- Quick actions — apply a predefined value to a field with one click.
- Standard actions — additional per-object actions available from a contextual sub-menu.
Roles Permission Panel
The IT Settings → Roles screen now includes a dedicated Permission Panel that provides a structured overview of all permissions assigned to a role, making it easier to audit and configure access rights.
Audience Configuration on Assessment Sections
Assessment template sections can now be configured with an Audience restriction, allowing you to target specific sections at defined recipient groups.
Improvements
- AI Settings screen — the existing AI settings page has been updated to link to the new Credentials sub-section and reflects the expanded provider configuration options.
- Dashboard (v2) — the dashboard grid, chart renderer, dropdown controls, and layout manager have been significantly updated for better stability and visual consistency. Several unused components have been removed to streamline performance.
- Assessment template builder — the section options panel and settings panel have been refined; the audience component for sections is now available directly in the template editor.
- Assessment frontend (questionnaire) — the questionnaire layout has been substantially refactored for improved navigation and risk-evaluation handling.
- Vendor representatives — the responsible-persons selector on vendor forms now correctly handles empty lists without showing a stuck loading indicator.
- DSR (Data Subject Requests) — status information is now displayed in the list view.
- Tags settings — the department-form component has been consolidated into the main tags form; tag-type enums have been updated.
- Regulations display — linked purposes, DPIA, and external-recipients sections now show regulation information with consistent styling.
- Sharing / Group Management — the sharing download helper and change-card components have been improved; assessment-template diff logic has been updated.
- Workflow cards — the card and card-review components have been updated for better layout and action handling.
- Notifications — the record-change toast has been refined.
- Translation updates — translation files for all supported languages have been updated with new keys for AI chat, bulk actions, permissions, and other new features.
- IT Settings token management — the token list now correctly filters AI-chat tokens from the general token view.
Fixes
- Vendor controller creation — fixed an error that prevented vendor records from being created correctly.
- Responsible persons dropdown — fixed a stuck loader and empty dropdown when the responsible persons list is empty.
- Bulk delete shared elements — fixed an issue where shared elements were not correctly removed during a bulk delete operation [NG-5246].
- Assessment frontend navigation — fixed incorrect tab return behaviour so users are returned to the correct tab after navigating away.
- Infinite scroll — fixed a bug in the infinite scroll hook that could cause incorrect behaviour when loading additional pages.
- Classification display — tag/classification elements are now joined and displayed correctly in list views.
- Assessment permalink — the general and recipients components have been updated to resolve display issues.
- AI chat — fixed credential handling, first-message display, input field behaviour, scroll overlap, timestamp rendering, and animation glitches.
