How to answer an assessment/questionnaire

You have received an email inviting you to complete a questionnaire. After opening the link in the email, you will be directed to the welcome page. From there, you can start the questionnaire by clicking Start.

Overview

The questionnaire is divided into several sections. On the right-hand side of the page, you will see an overview listing all sections and questions. This overview also displays a progress bar and provides information on how many questions remain unanswered.

If an evaluator has sent previously submitted responses back to you for review, these will also be displayed in the overview.

Question Types

When answering the questions, you will encounter both mandatory and optional questions. Mandatory questions must be answered, while optional questions can be answered at your choice.

Some questions feature an info icon. Clicking on it provides additional information or guidance to help you answer the question.

The questions may appear in different formats, depending on the type of response expected:

  • Free text: These questions require a response in text format. You can type your answer into a text field, ideal for detailed explanations or specific information.
  • Single choice: These questions allow you to select only one answer from a predefined list. This format is used when only one option is correct or applicable. Selection is made by clicking on the desired answer.
  • Multiple choice: These questions allow you to select more than one answer from a predefined list. This format is valid when multiple options are relevant. Selection is made by clicking on the applicable answers.
  • Number entry: These questions require a numeric response, such as a quantity, percentage, or other numerical data. You can type the number directly into the provided field.
  • List item: These questions involve entering multiple items. Such a question could be, for example, "Which IT systems, applications, or databases are used for data processing?" Confirm each entry by pressing Enter.

Answer options may be displayed in different ways. Some questions feature clickable fields for selection, while others use dropdown menus. The variety of question formats ensures that all types of information can be captured clearly and accurately.

Maturity Level

In some assessments, you may also be asked about the maturity level. The info icon can provide helpful tips for evaluating the maturity level.

Additional Information

Some questions require you to upload supporting documents, which may be mandatory or optional. To upload a document, click on the designated field or drag and drop the file directly into it.

There are also comment fields where you can add remarks. If a question has been sent back to you for review, a comment from the evaluator may also be visible here.

Saving and Results

After answering a question, click Save to proceed to the next one automatically. Once all questions have been answered, you will be directed to a completion page. Depending on the questionnaire type, a summary or intermediary results may be displayed, along with further instructions if applicable.
