Release 280 brings significant enhancements to the Assessment module, including new TOM status tracking within questionnaires, improved risk evaluation workflows, multi-display question handling, and a range of fixes across the assessment builder and response screens.

Overview

This release focuses primarily on the Assessment module, delivering new features for tracking Technical and Organisational Measures (TOMs) status directly within assessments, an improved risk evaluation experience with clearer likelihood and damage selection, and better handling of questions that span multiple display contexts. A number of user-visible bugs in the assessment builder, results screen, and risk configuration have also been resolved.

TOM Status in Assessments [NG-5052]

Assessment questionnaires can now display and capture the implementation status of Technical and Organisational Measures (TOMs) directly within a question. Respondents see a dedicated TOM status field alongside the question, making it easier to document control effectiveness as part of the assessment workflow.

Intermediary Results in Assessments [NG-5054]

Assessments can now show intermediary (partial) results while a respondent is still working through the questionnaire. This gives reviewers and respondents visibility into emerging findings before the assessment is fully completed.

Likelihood and Damage Selection for Risk Evaluation [NG-5028 / NG-5029]

The risk evaluation step within an assessment now presents a clearer, dedicated interface for selecting likelihood and damage values, replacing the previous combined view and making risk scoring more intuitive.

Multi-Display Question Support [NG-5020]

Questions configured to appear in multiple contexts ("multi-display") are now handled correctly during both authoring and response. New insertion logic ensures that such questions appear in the right position within the questionnaire flow.

Improvements

Assessment Builder – Question Options: Empty answer options are now detected more reliably; an option is only considered empty when all language variants of its name are blank, preventing accidental data loss on multilingual assessments.

Assessment Builder – Condition Logic [NG-5063]: The condition selector for branching logic has been expanded and refined, giving template authors more flexibility when defining skip or show conditions between questions.

Assessment Builder – Question Insertion: Questions added to a section are now inserted at the correct position rather than always appended to the end, preserving the intended question order.

Risk Model Configuration [NG-5606]: The Configure Risk Model screen has received several usability fixes, including correct ordering of risk thresholds and risk categories by their defined keys, and improved display of the current risk name.

Maturity & Upload fields: The default value for Maturity and Upload question types has been updated for consistency with other field types.

Notifications Dropdown: The notifications dropdown has been fixed to display correctly across all screen sizes and states.

Responsible Person selector: The asynchronous search for responsible persons in forms across Assets, Vendors, DPIA, ROPA, and Projects now behaves more consistently.

Assessment Recipients [NG-5016]: The recipients component on the assessment send screen has been updated for improved reliability.

[NG-5066] Resolved a validation issue in the assessment response flow that could prevent submission under certain conditions.

[NG-5059] Fixed incorrect question numbering on the assessment results screen.

[NG-5051] Fixed Drag & Drop reordering of questions in the assessment builder.

[NG-5050] Locked TOMs are now handled correctly and no longer cause unexpected behaviour when displayed in an assessment context.

[NG-5046] Risk evaluation save action in assessments now works correctly; risk scores are stored as expected.

[NG-5034] Fixed an issue where creating a new item from the assessment builder context could fail.

[NG-5031] Fixed two related issues in assessment response handling [NG-5030 / NG-5031].

[NG-5027] Fixed a style inconsistency in the assessment builder interface.

[NG-5022] Resolved an issue affecting a specific assessment action that was not completing as expected.

[NG-5017] Fixed a damage-field display problem in the risk evaluation section of assessments.

[NG-5013] Addressed missing translations for DPIA-related labels.

[NG-5011] Fixed the Drag & Drop functionality for questions within assessment sections.

[NG-5010] Resolved an undefined-access error that could cause the assessment builder to crash in certain configurations.

[NG-5069] Fixed a scrollIntoView error that could occur when navigating between questions.

Asset Risk Threshold ordering: The order of risk thresholds and risk categories in the asset risk model is now consistent and sorted correctly by key.
