Release 358 (20.02.2026)

Release 358 introduces advanced search for ROPA records, a new batch update capability for linked elements across all module types, and updated legal-basis and special-category data for the Switzerland FADP regulation.

Overview

This release delivers three notable improvements: a new advanced search component for selecting ROPA entries in workflows and filters, a batch update mechanism that lets you modify linked elements across multiple record types in a single operation, and updated regulatory reference data covering the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) — including revised special categories and deduplicated EEA GDPR entries.

What's new

Advanced search for ROPA records [NG-6170]

A new advanced-search field is now available wherever you need to select a ROPA entry — for example in revalidation filters and workflow conditions. Instead of scrolling through a long drop-down list, you can type keywords to search and filter records directly. This makes it significantly faster to find the right processing activity, especially in organisations with large ROPA inventories.

Batch update for linked elements

You can now update linked elements across multiple record types (Assets, DCPs, DPIAs, Incidents, TOMs, Vendors, Tasks, Projects, and more) in a single batch operation. Previously, changes to linked relationships had to be applied one record at a time. The system validates compatibility between element types before applying changes and reports clearly if any item cannot be updated, so you always have a reliable summary of what succeeded and what needs attention.

Switzerland FADP — updated regulatory reference data

The built-in regulation and special-category reference data has been refreshed for the Swiss FADP. New special-category entries specific to Swiss law are now available when configuring processing activities, and a duplicate EEA GDPR entry has been removed to keep the selection lists clean.

Improvements

  • Workflow / revalidation filters — the date-check event type (on_element_filtered_date_check) is now available as a trigger condition, giving you finer control over time-based revalidation workflows.
  • Assessment templates — error handling in question evaluation has been improved so that configuration issues surface with clearer messages rather than silent failures.
  • Linked-element validation — compatibility between different linked-element types is now checked before a save is attempted, preventing invalid combinations from being stored.

Known issues

No known issues.
