What's new

AI Chat Panel

A new AI Chat interface is now available directly from the application header. Users can start conversations, browse conversation history, copy responses, flag unhelpful answers, and stop a running response at any time. Conversations are paginated so older exchanges remain accessible. The chat respects user permissions — users without access will not see the panel.

AI Credentials Configuration [NG-5714]

A new AI Credentials section has been added under IT Settings → AI. Administrators can create and manage credentials for AI providers (including AWS Bedrock with dynamic inference profile loading) directly from this screen. Field requirements adapt based on the selected provider.

Roles & Permissions Panel [NG-5403]

The Roles management screen now includes a dedicated Permissions Panel that gives administrators a clearer, more structured view of the permissions assigned to each role, making it easier to review and adjust access rights.

Improvements

  • IT Settings – AI screen: The AI configuration page has been updated to reflect the new credentials sub-section and improved layout.
  • Asset Risk: The asset damage and likelihood components have been refined, and the risk helper logic has been updated to improve accuracy.
  • Applicable Laws: The regulations display in linked purposes, external recipients, and DPIA sections has been improved with better styling and dropdown rendering.
  • Linked Objects Table: Duplicate entries are now filtered out automatically, preventing repeated items from appearing in linked-object views.
  • Template Tags: Added validation to prevent template tags from routing to incorrect pages.
  • Vendor Representatives: Display and interaction improvements on the vendor representatives edit screen.
  • Automatic Translations: Translation tracking is now also applied to Asset Risk records, ensuring changes are flagged for re-translation consistently across more record types.
  • Text Area Input: Minor usability improvement to text area form fields.
  • SAML / OAuth Edit: Layout and interaction refinements on the SAML/OAuth configuration screen.

Fixes

  • NG-5907: Resolved an issue affecting AI-related configuration behaviour.
  • Chat scroll: Fixed a scroll positioning problem so the view automatically moves to the latest message when new messages arrive.
  • Conversation selection: Fixed an issue where the selected conversation state was not being retained correctly.
  • Thinking animation: Corrected the AI "thinking" indicator animation timing.
  • Report button: Fixed the report/flag button on AI responses.
  • Token filtering: Corrected filtering so AI Chat tokens are handled separately from standard API tokens and do not appear in unrelated token lists.
  • Redirect after action: Fixed a redirect that was sending users back to the wrong page after completing certain actions.
