Release 12 (19.11.2022)

Release 12 delivers several new features across the DPMS, including a new Audiences management area, a Views module for Projects, evidence tracking in TOMs, and expanded linked-element support — alongside wide-ranging improvements to drop-downs, text areas, and navigation consistency throughout the application.

Overview

Release 12 introduces the new Audiences section under Compliance Settings, allowing you to define read and write access permissions per audience group, including notification settings. A new Views module has been added to Projects, and Evidence can now be attached directly within TOMs. Additionally, tags now support automatic translation, and numerous usability improvements have been made across the platform.

Audiences (Compliance Settings)

A new Audiences management area is now available under Compliance Settings. You can create and edit audience groups, configure which elements each audience may read or write, and set up notifications per audience. [NG-3221]

Views in Projects

Projects now include a Views tab, where you can define and manage views with categories, target maturity levels, and drag-and-drop category ordering. [NG-3153]

Evidence in TOMs

Technical and Organisational Measures (TOMs) now support attaching and managing Evidence records directly from the TOM detail and creation screens.

Linked Elements in Policies & Documents

Policies and Documents now display a Linked Elements section, showing which other records (e.g. risk scenarios, assets) are connected to each policy or document. [NG-3106], [NG-3107]

Asset Enhancements

The Asset screens have been extended with dedicated tabs for linked Assessments, Tasks, and Data Deletion information, as well as a Deletion Coordinator component.

Organisational Risk Overview

A new Organisational Risk overview page is now accessible, presenting a consolidated view of risk model data across projects.

DPO Access & Notifications

Users with DPO access permissions now see a dedicated DPO notification component, surfacing relevant information tailored to the DPO role. [NG-2955]

Automatic Tag Translation

Tags now support automatic translation across the available interface languages, reducing manual effort when maintaining tag libraries. [NG-3214]

Default Date in Date/Time Fields

Date and time input fields now default to the current date, so you no longer need to manually select today's date when creating new records. [NG-3200]

Improvements

Drop-down fields (system-wide): All drop-down selectors across the application have been standardised to a unified component, providing a consistent look, feel, and behaviour everywhere. [NG-3180]

Text area fields: Text area inputs are now larger by default, making it easier to read and enter longer descriptions. [NG-3194]

Meetings & Activities – Create button: A dedicated Create Meeting / Activity button has been added to relevant screens, making it faster to log a new meeting or activity from context. [NG-3201]

TOMs – Linked Assets and Risk Scenarios: The TOMs detail view now shows linked Assets and Risk Scenarios in dedicated sections.

ROPA: The responsible-person field and linked tasks display have been corrected and improved.

Data Collection Points (DCP): The DCP index and detail screens have been updated, including improved handling of linked assessments and tasks.

DPIA: Route standardisation — the /general segment has been removed from the DPIA creation path, resulting in cleaner, more consistent URLs. [NG-3225]

Organisational Units: The Organisational Units settings screens have been refreshed with updated table layouts and form improvements. [NG-3037]

Login page: The login screen alignment has been improved for a cleaner appearance. [NG-3206]

Table tabs: Tables across multiple screens now use a standardised tab component with a consistent ordering behaviour. [NG-3184]

Inactive elements: Inactive elements are no longer shown in selection lists and linked-element tables, reducing clutter. [NG-3185]

Back button: Corrected instances where the back button navigated to the wrong screen. [NG-3203]

RASCI → RASCI: The project responsibility matrix label has been updated from RACI to RASCI to reflect the supported roles accurately.

Scroll bars: Scroll bar styling has been standardised across list and table views.

Space management: Screen spacing and layout padding have been reviewed and made more consistent across all major screens. [NG-3162]

Fixes

[NG-3180] Fixed a bug where the responsible-person field in ROPA was not saving correctly after the drop-down standardisation.

[NG-3180] Fixed an issue with the Assessment Template selector not rendering correctly in certain drop-down contexts.

[NG-3153] Corrected colours and display of maturity model boxes and task indicators in the Projects risk view.

[NG-3107] Fixed the policy version history display — when no prior versions exist, the document list is now shown correctly instead of a blank screen.

[NG-2955] Corrected a condition that prevented the DPO access component from appearing even when the user had the DPO permission in the database.
