What's new
Dashboard v2
The Dashboard has been completely rebuilt. The new version features:
- Interactive charts covering ROPA, Tasks, Risk, and more — including bar charts, pie charts, and radial/circular charts.
- Customisable tile layout — tiles can be resized and reordered; the layout is saved automatically per user.
- Role-based visibility — tiles and charts are shown only to users with the appropriate permissions.
- Deadline charts — new horizontal bar charts visualise upcoming deadlines across modules.
- Dynamic status colours — chart segments reflect your organisation's custom status colours in real time.
- Zero-value items are automatically hidden from pie charts to keep visualisations clean.
Custom Statuses [NG-4388 / NG-4305 / NG-4386]
A new Custom Statuses section has been added under Compliance Settings. You can now:
- Create, edit, and delete custom status labels with individual colours for every major record type: ROPA, Assets, Asset Groups, Vendors, Tasks, Projects, Incidents, Data Subject Requests, Data Collection Points, TOMs, Documents & Policies, Meetings & Activities, Retentions & Deletions, DPIA, Legitimate Interest, Assessments, and Assessment Templates.
- Assign custom statuses directly from record detail and list views.
- Default statuses are provisioned automatically for each record type on first use.
Assessment Builder — major enhancements [NG-4601 / NG-4600 / NG-4602 / NG-4605 / NG-4717 / NG-4713]
- Question preview [NG-4600]: A live preview panel lets template editors see exactly how a question will appear to respondents before publishing.
- Free-text question type [NG-4601]: A new "free text" field type can be added to any section, allowing open-ended responses.
- Multi-display questions [NG-4602]: Questions can now be configured to display multiple answer options simultaneously, improving usability for complex questionnaires.
- Section audience [NG-4605]: Sections can be targeted to specific audiences, controlling which respondent groups see which content.
- Intermediary & end results [NG-4717 / NG-4713]: Assessment templates now support configurable intermediary result screens shown at defined points during the questionnaire, as well as a final end-results screen summarising outcomes for the respondent.
- Template status management [NG-4810]: Assessment template statuses are now managed separately and migrated cleanly from earlier configurations.
Notifications redesign [NG-4443]
The Notifications settings screen has been fully redesigned. A new toggle-based table makes it easy to enable or disable individual notification events at a glance, replacing the previous form-based layout. A skeleton loader is shown while notification settings are loading.
Tab order persistence
The order of tabs within record detail views is now saved to the database and restored on every subsequent visit, so your preferred tab arrangement is preserved across sessions.
Data Collection Point — new routes and actions
Data Collection Points now support additional creation and management actions, bringing them in line with other record types in the platform.
Improvements
- Dashboard filters [NG-4674]: Filter controls on the Dashboard now include a short input delay to prevent unnecessary reloads while typing, and zero-value entries are excluded from results.
- Dashboard dropdown [NG-4671]: A redesigned dropdown component on the Dashboard allows multi-selection and provides clearer visual feedback.
- Assessment list [NG-4712]: The assessments index now supports multi-select for bulk actions.
- Assessments — recipients : The recipients panel in an assessment has been improved with better display and editing of recipient information.
- Tab menu: Tabs can now be dragged to reorder them; the reordered sequence is saved automatically. Arrow navigation for overflowing tabs has been refined.
- Filter quick navigation [NG-3850]: The quick-navigation filter has been improved for more reliable behaviour across all list screens.
- Organisational Units: A missing permission for certain organisational unit routes has been restored, and filter behaviour for status has been corrected.
- Applicable Laws: Context and conditional logic for applicable laws are now handled through a dedicated hook, improving consistency across screens.
- Risk settings — Asset Risk and Process Risk edit screens have been updated with improved field handling and validation.
- Vendor [NG-4575 / NG-4718]: The vendor data-mapping view has been updated; a bug affecting the upload of documents on vendor records has been fixed.
- Session validation: Improved handling of session expiry to reduce unnecessary logouts.
- AI Settings: The AI settings edit screen has been updated with additional fields and improved layout.
- ROPA create form: The general creation form for ROPA records has been streamlined.
- Breadcrumbs: The breadcrumb component has been updated to handle a wider range of navigation paths correctly.
