Release 173 (24.07.2024)
Version: 173
Release Date: 24.07.2024 19:00 CET
Overview
Release 173 is a major feature release centred on two brand-new areas of the platform: the Risk Owner Console (ROC) and the CISO Report. Risk owners can now manage their assigned assets, review risk scenarios, configure treatment plans, and track implementation progress — all in one dedicated workspace. Alongside this, a new CISO Report view provides executive-level visibility into spotlighted scenarios and risk monitor data.

What's new
Risk Owner Console (ROC)
A dedicated console has been introduced for risk owners, giving them a focused view of the assets and asset groups they are responsible for. Key capabilities include:
- Risk scenario list – Browse and search risk scenarios assigned to your assets. Scenarios are clearly distinguished between those that are mitigated and those still to be mitigated.
- Risk monitor graph – An interactive slider-based graph displays the current risk score alongside the target risk, with visual indicators for threshold values. The layout adapts to different screen sizes.
- Residual risk view – A dedicated residual risk component shows the remaining exposure after treatment measures are applied.
- Spotlighted scenarios graph – A bar/area chart highlights selected risk scenarios over time, with navigation between previous and next periods.
- TOM management – Suggested and implemented Technical and Organisational Measures (TOMs) are displayed as cards directly within the console. Users can:
- Edit TOM details (name, estimated cost, deadline, currency) inline.
- Drag and drop TOMs between treatment stages (e.g. from "Awaiting" to "Implemented").
- Publish a treatment plan and review total costs.
- Treatment status & treatment plan – Dedicated panels show the status of each treatment option and the full treatment plan, including cost summaries.
- Send back to option – Risk owners can return a TOM to an earlier stage in the workflow directly from the console.
- Search bar – A search bar allows filtering of scenarios and assets by name or ID within the console.
- Threshold navigation – A link navigates directly to the applicable risk threshold configuration.
CISO Report
A new CISO Report section has been added to the navigation, providing senior stakeholders with:
- A Risk Monitor overview displaying category-level risk information with legend, icons, and colour-coded indicators.
- Spotlighted scenarios – A curated selection of risk scenarios displayed with scenario graphs (bar charts and area charts), navigable via previous/next controls and a scenario selector dropdown.
- A dedicated print/export view that calculates and displays percentage distributions for spotlighted scenarios.
Assessment improvements
- Default status tags are now created automatically when an assessment template is set up, reducing manual configuration. [NG-1805]
- Imported assessment templates that were previously failing to open for editing have been corrected. [NG-1822]
- Clicking a linked review in an assessment now redirects correctly to the related record. [NG-1765]
- Inactive assessment templates are now filtered out and no longer appear in selection lists.
DSAR – deleted documents now visible
Deleted documents associated with a Data Subject Access Request are now shown in the DSAR record, giving a complete audit trail. [NG-1834]
Description field improvements [NG-1609]
A new dedicated description text area component has been introduced across multiple record types (data subjects, detail views), providing a more consistent and accessible editing experience for long-form text.
Improvements
- Risk Owner Console – table design [NG-1714]: The ROC table has been restyled with cleaner borders, improved row height, and better column spacing. Section selections are now preserved when navigating within the table. [NG-1720]
- Risk Owner Console – scenario styles [NG-1715]: Scenario list items have been redesigned with improved borders, icon placement, and description alignment. Overflow in long descriptions is handled with scrolling rather than layout breaks.
- Risk Owner Console – TOM card styles [NG-1717]: TOM cards have been restyled to match the updated design, including ellipsis truncation for long titles and improved button layout.
- Risk Owner Console – risk information panel [NG-1716]: The risk information sidebar has been enlarged and given more prominent borders; stage styles have been adjusted.
- Risk Owner Console – threshold display [NG-1716]: Threshold values are now shown as numbers on the risk graph, and the threshold icon is centred correctly.
- Risk Owner Console – responsive design [NG-1715]: Graphs and the risk monitor layout now adapt correctly across different screen resolutions.
- Risk Owner Console – validation before implementing a TOM [NG-1632]: A validation step now prevents a TOM from being moved to "Implemented" without the required data being present.
- Radar chart tooltip [NG-1835]: The hover colour highlight in the radar chart tooltip has been hidden for a cleaner appearance.
- Treatment status – date/time display: Deadline date values in the treatment status panel now display correctly after a fix to the date component.
- Tags – assessment statuses: The tag management area now supports assessment-specific status tags, and default tags are pre-created on setup. [NG-1805]
Fixes
- [NG-1511] Deadline values in the TOM edit card were not saving or displaying correctly — this has been resolved.
- [NG-1836] The publish button was incorrectly shown in certain states; it is now hidden when publishing is not applicable.
- [NG-1822] Editing an assessment built from an imported template caused an error — fixed.
- [NG-1834] Deleted documents in DSAR records were not visible — they are now displayed.
- [NG-1835] Hover colour in the radar chart tooltip was appearing unexpectedly — now hidden.
- [NG-1649] Duplicate suggested TOMs were appearing in the TOM list — duplicates are no longer created.
- Fixed the risk score calculation in the ROC scenarios graph to correctly reflect current and target values.
- Fixed an issue where the selected asset or scenario state was lost when navigating between ROC tabs.
- Fixed drag-and-drop behaviour in the Treatment Status panel where items could not be dropped into certain zones.
- Fixed an issue where clicking a row in the ROC table triggered unintended actions for asset groups.
- Fixed a blue-screen crash that could occur when opening the Risk Scenarios section.
- Fixed translation errors in the Treatment Status labels (German and other languages).
