This release delivers the first full version of the Data Subject Requests (DSR) module, covering the complete lifecycle of a request: intake, identification, data review, data upload, packaging, answer delivery, and deletion. What's new
Data Subject Requests (DSR) module
The platform now includes a dedicated Data Subject Requests section. Compliance officers can:
- Create and manage DSRs with a structured form capturing the requestor's details, request type (access, deletion, rectification, etc.), system ID, custom fields, and a configurable requestor e-mail toggle.
- Track requests through a tabbed list view that separates open, in-progress, and closed requests, with an at-a-glance overview dashboard showing bar-chart statistics by status, type, and deadline.
- Run identification workflows — a dedicated identification card guides responsible users through verifying the data subject's identity, with support for document upload and address-format questions.
- Conduct data review and data upload steps inside the workflow, allowing responsible teams to upload collected data, review it, and mark the step complete.
- Package and deliver the response — the system can trigger a data-packaging job that compiles the relevant data and prepares it for delivery; the answer screen lets staff select an Answer Template and send the final response to the requestor.
- Data deletion workflow — a separate deletion step is available for erasure requests, with dedicated permissions controlling who may action it.
- Filter and search DSRs by status, type, days remaining, date ranges, and other criteria. [NG-3020, NG-3123, NG-3193]
- Multi-select bulk actions on the DSR list, including bulk status changes. [NG-3019, NG-3146]
- General Log on each DSR — a structured audit trail of manual log entries that can be added, edited, and deleted by authorised users; automatic system events are recorded separately and are read-only.
DSR Audiences [NG-3018]
A new DSR Audiences configuration section (under Compliance Settings) lets administrators define named groups of users who are automatically involved in DSR workflows. Audiences can be created, edited, and assigned responsible users directly from the settings screen.
Answer Templates [NG-2955, NG-3005]
A new Answer Templates page (under Compliance Settings) lets DPOs create reusable response texts that can be selected when sending the formal answer to a data subject. Templates support multilingual content.
Address-type question in assessments [NG-3100, NG-3043]
Assessment templates now support an Address question type, allowing respondents to enter a structured postal address. Collected addresses are shown in the assessment result table and included in Excel exports.
Subject Matter Experts in ROPA [NG-3137]
ROPA records now have a Subject Matter Experts field, letting DPOs document which internal experts are involved in a processing activity — both on the creation form and in the detail view.
Workflow: select audiences and tag-based routing [NG-3087, NG-3188]
Workflow steps can now be assigned to a defined DSR Audience, and a new Tag Select step type allows workflow designers to route requests based on ROPA tags.
Improvements
- DSR list — default sort order is now applied consistently; a "Select all" label correction was applied. [NG-3146]
- Assessment template builder — infinite scroll now loads further records correctly; the save button is disabled until all required fields are complete. [NG-3137]
- Assessment result table — the DSR request type is now displayed as an additional column when an assessment is linked to a DSR. [NG-3181]
- Workflow required-action list — the list now refreshes automatically when a workflow step is completed; the layout and card design for DSR-specific action cards has been redesigned for clarity.
- Selectable table — clicking anywhere on a row (not just the text) now navigates to the record. [NG-2802]
- ROPA detail — the Subject Matter Experts field is visible in the detail view alongside the existing responsible-person information.
- Retentions & Deletions — a duplicate "Workflows" menu entry has been removed.
- Compliance Settings → Tags — DSR status and DSR type tags are now managed through their own dedicated tag types, replacing the previous DSAR naming.
- Dashboard — task and assessment widgets now respect read permissions, and the redirection after login has been stabilised.
- Excel exports — address-type answers are now included in exported spreadsheets; translation keys for exported columns have been corrected across all supported languages.
- Translations — all 17 supported UI languages have been updated with new keys covering DSR screens, workflow steps, identification process, log entries, and answer templates. The terminology has been unified from "DSAR" to "DSR" throughout.
- Dot-icon action menu — delete actions in the three-dot menu now require explicit confirmation and are visually separated from other actions. [NG-2967]
- User management — Azure AD-synced users are no longer clickable for manual editing, preventing unintended overwrites. [NG-2823]
