Improvements

  • Data Flow – node positioning: Nodes of the same type are now arranged more consistently when a diagram is first loaded or created, making large data flow maps easier to read at a glance.
  • Data Flow – edge routing: When you draw a connection between two nodes, the system now automatically selects the nearest available connection point (handle) on each node, resulting in cleaner, less overlapping lines. [NG-2698]
  • Data Flow – dropdown search: All dropdowns in the Data Flow editor now support free-text search, so you can quickly find the system, vendor, or other element you are looking for without scrolling through long lists. [NG-2654]
  • Data Flow – Information System → Vendor connections: It is now possible to draw a direct connection from an Information System node to a Vendor node, expanding the range of relationships you can model in a diagram.
  • Data Flow – page performance: Re-rendering has been optimised so that the diagram canvas responds more smoothly, especially in diagrams with many nodes and connections. [NG-2685]
  • Data Flow – access control on index view: Access permissions are now correctly evaluated when the list of data flows is displayed, ensuring users only see the diagrams they are authorised to view. [NG-2671]
  • Data Flow – zoom controls: The zoom button bar has been resized for a tidier appearance in the diagram toolbar.

Fixes

  • Data Flow – save reliability: An issue that could prevent changes from being saved correctly has been resolved. [NG-2626]
  • Data Flow – dropdown selection: Several edge-case bugs in the node-attribute dropdowns (incorrect selection state, failed search results) have been fixed. [NG-2642]
  • Data Flow – screen height: A layout bug causing the diagram canvas to be clipped or incorrectly sized on certain screen resolutions has been corrected.
  • Data Flow – suppressed spurious error message: A non-actionable "object was updated" error notification that appeared under certain concurrent-edit conditions is no longer shown to users.
