Release 24 brings a redesigned Compliance Risk Scenarios module, enriched legal-basis and data-category options in the Record of Processing Activities, and a range of navigation and usability improvements across the platform.

Overview

What's new

Compliance Risk Scenarios

Risk Scenarios have been moved into their own dedicated area within Compliance Settings. You can now create, view, and manage risk scenarios and their associated control gaps directly from a dedicated list and detail view, making it easier to maintain a structured overview of compliance-related risks.

The ROPA form now offers a broader set of legal-basis options in line with applicable data-protection laws, giving you more precise options when documenting the legal grounds for each processing activity.

Expanded Data Categories

A comprehensive set of data categories is now available when documenting processing activities, covering a wider range of personal and special-category data types.

Import Support in Tags

The Tags settings screen now includes an import function, allowing you to bring in tag data from external sources directly into the tag management area.

Improvements

  • Navigation – Back button: The back button now reliably returns you to the correct previous tab or screen after editing a record, rather than navigating to an unexpected location.
  • Navigation – Tab memory: When you exit an edit form, the application now returns you to the tab you were on before opening the form.
  • Risk Scenarios – ROPA, Vendors, and DPIA: Risk scenario and risk scenario control sections are now consistently displayed within the ROPA, Vendor, and DPIA detail views.
  • Manage Access: The Manage Access panel is now available on Assessments, Asset Register, ROPA, Tasks, and Policies & Documents screens, giving administrators more consistent control over record-level access.
  • Organisational Units: The Organisational Units screen under Compliance Settings has been refreshed with updated layout and navigation.
  • Audience settings: The Audience settings page has been updated with improved layout and usability.
  • User Management: The User Management section in IT Settings has been updated with a revised menu structure for easier navigation.
  • Session handling: Login and logout flows have been optimised, including automatic session renewal to reduce unexpected logouts during longer working sessions.
  • Transition effects: Smooth transition animations have been added to menu and screen changes for a more polished navigation experience.
  • Legal Basis table: The legal-basis summary table in the ROPA now displays information more clearly.
  • Notifications: Success notifications have been streamlined — redundant confirmations have been removed to reduce visual noise.

Fixes

  • DPIA balancing [#3466]: Corrected an error in the DPIA balancing calculation that could produce incorrect results.
  • Tasks: Fixed two issues affecting the display and behaviour of task records.
  • Legitimate interest – Save on edit: Fixed an issue where legitimate-interest settings were not saved correctly when editing an existing record.
  • Multiselect – Manage Access: Fixed a bug where the multiselect control in the Manage Access panel did not behave correctly.
  • File controller: Resolved issues with file upload and download handling.
  • Token renewal [#3466]: Fixed a problem where the authentication token was not renewed correctly, which could cause users to be logged out unexpectedly.
