Release 13 brings significant new capabilities to Assessments, including a conditions engine, tag hierarchies, maturity scoring, access management, and a redesigned respondent-facing questionnaire experience — alongside access-management controls rolled out across Assets, Tasks, ROPA records, and Policies & Documents.

Overview

This release focuses on a major expansion of the Assessments module: reviewers and template editors gain new tools for conditional question logic, tag-based organisation, maturity evaluation, and controlled access. At the same time, the "Manage Access" feature — previously available only in selected areas — has been extended to Assets, Tasks, ROPA records, and Policies & Documents. A redesigned front-end questionnaire experience makes it easier for respondents to complete and navigate assessments.

Conditional question logic in Assessment Templates

Assessment templates now support a conditions engine: questions can be set to appear or remain hidden based on how a respondent answers earlier questions. This allows you to build smarter, more targeted questionnaires that skip irrelevant sections automatically.

Tag hierarchies in Assessment Templates

Tags used inside assessment templates can now be organised in multi-level hierarchies (sub-tags). This makes it easier to group and filter questions by topic area within complex templates.

Maturity scoring for Assessments

A new maturity selector is available on assessments, allowing evaluators to assign a maturity level as part of the review process — giving a clearer picture of an organisation's compliance posture over time.

The Manage Access control — which lets you restrict who can view or edit a record — is now available on:

Redesigned respondent questionnaire

The front-end questionnaire that respondents fill in has been rebuilt. Key improvements include:

Cleaner question-by-question navigation

Better handling of number inputs and option selections

Conditions are now reflected in real time (questions appear/disappear as answers change)

Improved submission flow

Assessment review details & history

Reviewers can now see a dedicated Review Details panel on an assessment, as well as a per-question and per-section history view showing how answers have changed over time.

Accept / Reject actions on Assessments

Assessments can now be explicitly accepted or rejected via dedicated action buttons, streamlining the review and sign-off workflow.

Templates that require review

Assessment templates can now be flagged as requiring review, ensuring that completed assessments based on those templates are routed through an approval step before being finalised.

"Load more" for templates in selectors

Template selection dropdowns now support infinite scroll / load more, so large template libraries no longer require a separate search step.

Improvements

Assessment template editing — the template editor screen has been significantly expanded: question settings, option management, and text-translation fields are better organised and easier to use.

Assessment template questions — question restrictions and option configuration panels have been updated to reflect the new conditions and tag features.

ROPA – TOMs tab — the Technical and Organisational Measures tab inside ROPA detail records has been refreshed for clearer display.

Tags settings — the Tags configuration screen has been restructured; AD-group, general, and hierarchy form panels are now presented more consistently.

DPIA detail — layout and linked-data sections on DPIA records have been updated for consistency with other detail pages.

Vendor IT Risk — the detail view and data-retrieval logic have been updated for reliability.

Tasks form — the task creation and editing form has been reorganised for a cleaner layout.

General action buttons — the element options button (⋮ menu) available on list and detail views has been standardised across all supported record types.
