Release 199 (02.11.2024)
Version: 199
Release Date: 02.11.2024 19:00 CET
Overview
This release delivers a major new capability: the Data Flow map, which lets you visualise how personal data moves between processing activities, systems, vendors, and affected persons. Alongside this, DPIA records can now be tagged with classification labels, filters across the platform gain a new date-range picker, and several fixes improve stability in TOMS, DPIA risk columns, and assessment workflows.

What's new
Data Flow Map [NG-2311, NG-2440, NG-2442, NG-2483, NG-2538, NG-2548, NG-2549, NG-2553, NG-2555, NG-2565, NG-2569, NG-2571, NG-2581, NG-2598, NG-2602, NG-2613, NG-2623, NG-2624, NG-2626, NG-2628, NG-2629, NG-2630, NG-2640]
A brand-new Data Flow section is now available in the main navigation. From this screen you can:
- Select a ROPA process and instantly see an interactive visual map of all linked elements (data collection points, assets, vendors, affected persons, and more).
- Draw and manage connections between nodes directly on the canvas — new connections are highlighted as they are created, and unwanted connections can be removed with a dedicated ✕ button on each edge.
- Zoom in and out using on-screen zoom buttons, re-centre the view with a single click, and open the map in a maximised full-screen view.
- Auto-save — changes to the diagram are saved automatically in the background.
- Overview panel — a summary in the map header shows a count of each element type currently displayed.
- Wiggle animation draws your attention to nodes that have unsaved or recently updated changes.
- Navigate directly from a node in the Data Flow map to the corresponding ROPA detail page and back.
- The map is accessible from both the Data Flow section and from within a ROPA record.
DPIA Classifications [NG-2575]
DPIA records can now be assigned one or more classification tags. Classifications are managed in the Compliance Settings → Tags area and appear on the DPIA detail and list views. They can also be used as filter criteria in DPIA-related reports.
New filter: creation date range [NG-2582]
List views that support filtering now include a creation date filter with a date-range picker, allowing you to narrow records down to those created within a specific period.
Workflow: event triggered on assessment approval [NG-2680]
The workflow engine can now react to the event of an assessment being approved, enabling automated follow-up steps to be triggered as part of a workflow.
Outside / public review support
Assessments can now be shared for review with recipients who do not have a Priverion account ("outside reviewers"), with appropriate access controls applied automatically.
Improvements
- DPIA list — Risk column [NG-2710]: A dedicated Risk column is now shown in the DPIA overview table, giving an at-a-glance view of the risk level associated with each DPIA.
- TOMS — Mitigated risk scenarios: The link between TOMs and their mitigated risk scenarios has been corrected and translations for that relationship are now complete.
- Filters — multi-language support [NG-2582]: Filter labels and searchable lists throughout the application now correctly display in the user's selected language.
- Date formatting: Dates in reports and list views are now consistently displayed using the period separator (e.g.
02.11.2024) rather than a slash.
- Date picker — local time accuracy: Date-picker values are now aligned to local time to avoid off-by-one-day issues near midnight.
- Assets — Country field: A country attribute has been added to Assets, and this information is reflected in Data Flow node labels.
- Action Plan [NG-2704]: Minor usability updates to the Action Plan screen.
- Task Manager — calendar [NG-2702]: Calendar picker improvements in the Task Manager, including the ability to select dates from adjacent months directly in the calendar.
- Compliance Settings — Tags labels [NG-2696]: Label display in the Tags section has been refined.
- Row details — font size [NG-2707]: Font size in detail row views has been adjusted for better readability.
- Default status for new records [NG-2711]: New records in the document management area now default to the Draft status.
- Sharing buttons [NG-2709]: Sharing/export buttons are correctly disabled when the user does not have the required permissions.
