Data Subject Requests
Overview
Efficiently managing data subject requests is crucial for ensuring compliance with data protection regulations like the GDPR. This process allows you to create, track, and resolve requests systematically.
Go to React & Resolve and select Data Subject Requests. The overview page categorizes requests into All, Open, and Resolved tabs, providing a clear view of their status.
Creating a New Request
When creating a new data subject request, click Create and select Create Data Subject Request. Then fill in the following fields:
- Responsible Person: Assign the person responsible for handling the request.
- Status: Set the request's current status (Open or Resolved).
- ID: Enter a unique identifier for the request.
- Type: Select all relevant types of requests from the dropdown menu based on the rights granted to individuals under data protection laws.
- Requestor: Record the name of the person making the request.
- Response time: Enter the request date and specify the response period.
- Content: Provide additional details about the request, such as specific requirements or context.
- Upload: Upload files by dragging and dropping them into the grey field.
Once all fields are completed, click Save to finalize the creation of the request.
Editing a Request
To edit an existing request, click on it on the overview page. The following tabs allow you to manage and update various aspects of the request:
- General: Click Edit to modify the general information.
- Log: Document important progress updates, notes, or challenges encountered in handling the request. This ensures a clear record of actions taken.
- Tasks: Create and link tasks to the request and track their progress. This helps ensure that all necessary actions are completed in time.
- Documents: You will find the uploaded documents when the request was created here. Click on a document to complete its details. You can also link additional documents related to the requester or create new ones. This ensures that all supporting materials are organized and easily accessible for future reference.
- Workflow: Trigger and overview workflows.
